Publication Ethic

Journal of Intelligent Computing, Systems, and Applications (JICSA) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publishing process authors, editors, reviewers, and publishers are expected to adhere to ethical behavior as outlined in this statement.

Responsibilities of Authors

Integrity and Accuracy
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts present an accurate and objective account of the research undertaken. Data and results should be presented clearly, without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.

Originality and Plagiarism
Submitted works must be original. Any use of others' work must be properly cited. Plagiarism in any form whether copying, paraphrasing without acknowledgment, or presenting others’ research findings as one’s own is strictly prohibited.

Multiple and Redundant Publication
Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal at the same time. Duplicate or redundant publications are considered unethical and unacceptable.

Acknowledgment of Sources
Authors must acknowledge all sources of data, ideas, or methodology that influenced their research. Personal communications and unpublished material should be cited only with explicit permission.

Authorship and Contributions
All listed authors should have made significant contributions to the work. Others who contributed to the research but do not meet the criteria for authorship should be recognized in the acknowledgments.

Conflicts of Interest
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts that could potentially influence the interpretation of their findings.

Ethical Considerations for Human and Animal Subjects
Research involving human or animal participants must follow institutional and international ethical standards. Informed consent must be obtained and documented for human subjects.

Corrections and Retractions
If authors discover a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they are obligated to promptly inform the editor and cooperate in the correction or retraction process.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editorial Independence and Integrity
Editors are responsible for the content of the journal and for ensuring fair, balanced, and objective editorial decisions based solely on the academic merit of submissions.

Confidentiality
Editors must protect the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and must not disclose any information about them to anyone other than those directly involved in the editorial process.

Fair Review Process
Editors must ensure that submissions are reviewed by qualified and impartial reviewers. Manuscripts should be judged without regard to the authors’ race, gender, nationality, religious belief, or institutional affiliation.

Handling Misconduct
If ethical concerns arise, editors will initiate investigations and cooperate fully with authors, reviewers, and institutions as needed. Corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern will be published if warranted.

Conflicts of Interest
Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest. Editorial decisions must remain free from commercial influence.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Contribution to Quality
Reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the quality of the journal. Their evaluations help editors make informed decisions and provide constructive feedback to authors.

Confidentiality
Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents. They may not be shared or discussed with others unless authorized by the editor.

Objectivity and Constructiveness
Reviews should be conducted objectively and with scholarly rigor. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Reviewers should express their views clearly and support them with evidence.

Recognition of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant works that have not been cited and alert the editor to any similarities with other known publications.

Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must declare any potential conflicts and decline to review manuscripts where such conflicts exist.

At Journal of Intelligent Computing, Systems, and Applications (JICSA), we strive to foster a publishing environment that promotes transparency, accountability, and respect for scientific integrity. These principles apply throughout the entire publication process, from submission to post-publication.
